Privacy Policy
Effective October 24, 2026
This policy explains what Wikivec Inc. (“we”) collects when you use Bowling League Online, and why. The short version: a league secretary's account holds their email and their leagues; a league holds its bowlers' names, scores and (if the secretary adds them) email addresses; we use them only to run that league's sheets, pages and emails.
The demo and the calculators
The demo league and its changes stay in your browser's storage on your device. The calculators run in your browser and send nothing.
What we collect from every visitor
- Standard request logs from our host (IP address, browser, pages requested), kept for security and reliability.
- Anonymous counts: how many visits open the demo, use a calculator, create a league, publish a week, view a standings page and tap a Pro button. These use a random number made for each page visit and kept only in memory, never a cookie.
- Anonymous usage statistics: which pages are viewed and which screens are used, without cookies and without any league data.
- If you arrive from a link tagged with a campaign, a first-party cookie (
blo_src, 90 days) remembers that first visit (the campaign, the page you landed on and when). If you start Pro, it is attached to the subscription so we know which links bring secretaries. - If you pick a light or dark theme, that is saved in your browser's local storage.
Bowling League Online shows no ads.
Secretaries' accounts and leagues
An account holds your email address (or your Google account's email and name) and your sign-in records. Your leagues are stored in our database, linked to your account: their settings, teams, schedule, scores and dues, and the bowlers on them (names, entering averages, men/women, and email addresses if you add them). Payments are handled by Stripe; we see your subscription's status and plan, never your full card number.
With Pro you can invite co-secretaries: we email the address you enter a one-time link, keep the address with the league to show you who you invited, and let only an account holding that address accept. A co-secretary can open and edit that league until they leave or you remove them.
Bowlers
If you bowl in a league that uses Bowling League Online, your secretary entered your name and scores, and may have added your email. The secretary decides who sees the league: a standings page is shown only to people with its link unless the secretary lists it (on Google and in our league finder, with the league's center, city and night), and can show last names as initials. If your email is on the roster and your secretary has Pro, you may get the standings after each week; every email has a one-click unsubscribe. To have your details changed or removed, ask your secretary, or write to us.
How long we keep it, and deleting it
- A league stays in its secretary's account until they delete it, including after Pro ends.
- Deleting a league deletes its scores, its bowlers, its co-secretary invites and its standings page.
- Deleting your account (Account › Manage account › Delete account) cancels any subscription, deletes your leagues and takes you off any league you help run. Copies kept by our database provider for recovery expire within 7 days. Stripe keeps payment records as the law requires.
Who processes data for us
- Vercel: hosting the website, and anonymous usage statistics (pages viewed, which tools are used), without cookies. Data: IP address and request logs; pages viewed, tool events, referring site, browser type, approximate country.
- Clerk: accounts and signing in, if you make an account. Data: your email address (or Google account email and name), sign-in records, IP address and browser.
- Stripe: Pro subscriptions, payments and receipts. Data: your name, email address, card and billing details (we never see your full card number).
- Neon: storing the leagues in your account. Data: your leagues: settings, teams, schedule, scores, dues, and their bowlers' names, averages and any email addresses you added.
- Resend: sending a league's standings emails, when its secretary sends them, and co-secretary invites (Pro). Data: the bowler's email address, name and that week's scores and standings; an invited co-secretary's email address and the league's name.
- Upstash: anonymous counters, and whether an account has Pro. Data: a random number made for each page visit, and whether it came from an ad; your account ID and subscription status, if you have an account.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data we hold, and to object to or restrict its use. Write to us; for a bowler's data in a league, we may also involve the league's secretary.
Children
Accounts are for adults (18 and older). Youth leagues may appear in a secretary's league; we use their data only to run that league, and a secretary can show last names as initials.
